Chobi carpets are traditionally woven in the northern regions of Afghanistan. The word "chobi" comes from the Farsi word "chob" which means wood, referring to the source of its natural dyes. Chobi carpets use geometric patterns to illustrate nature and represent tribal symbols. They are all woven using hand-spun wool.
